I had some very hard couple of years lately… Exams, first job, exams again… So I didn’t have much time to travel or to have fun…
But, this summer I was free… So, me and my boyfriend decided to get in the car and… go!
First, we visited my parents in Constanta. The seaside was great…
But we really wanted to see the mountains…

This past couple of days I checked another city off my to-visit list. I took advantage of a business trip my mom had to make and I tagged along to Alba Iulia.
It didn’t start out too well: first thing that morning, I stepped on a bee. Yes, a bee, little insect that buzzes and has a sting. It stung me in the foot - good thing I’m not allergic. Then Alba Iulia was very cold and I wasn’t dressed too warmly, but I had to make do…
Mum dropped me off in a park close to the medieval citadel and pointed me in the right direction. The park was lovely and, best of all, it even had cute metal mushrooms!

Where did this idea come from? A blog about Romania, written by Romanian bloggers… We wanted to show Romania is not only about stereotypes, like homeless children and thieves, Romania is not just a boring former Communist country; it’s not necessarily the best place to live, but it is not the worst either. Romania is about what you feel when you live or travel here, it is about the people that live here.
